Online Retailing - Spain - July 2016

"Spain lags behind Northern Europe in online development, but it is catching up. Younger people are leading the way, both in usage and in innovation, but older people are following. Compared with Germany, online is still in its infancy, but there is growing willingness to buy online and a growing number of retailers who trade online. In fact, of the major retailers the majority now have an online offer and we think that department store-to-supermarket group, El Corte Inglés is the online market leader."
