This global annual market overview will provide you with an in-depth review of the key issues in the global facial skincare market through 2014 as well as our forecast for what will happen in 2015 and beyond.

Asia Pacific continues to generate the highest sales in the facial skincare category and has seen the fastest rates of annual growth over the last five years. China overtook Japan in 2012 to become the largest facial skincare market.

China has significant market potential to reach new heights in sales with its sizable population and expanding middle class.

Limelight still continues to fall on Asia as the source of revenue and growth for the foreseeable future. Indonesia and India are also expected to generate robust revenue increases.

While anti-aging skincare remains an important facial skincare sector, in many mature markets it is no longer the major growth driver that it once was.

Countries including Germany, Spain and the US are seeing the anti-aging sector increase sales at a slower pace than the market as a whole.

By contrast, in markets like India, Brazil, Thailand and Mexico, anti-aging is performing more strongly than the total markets, which are all growing by double-digits.

Although the facial care market is still seeing double digit annual sales increases, the rate of increase is slowing.
