“The UK gas supply market, which is dominated by just six suppliers, is set to become highly competitive over the coming years. A number of independent suppliers, such as First Utility, have already gained a notable presence in the market, although their overall share remains small. Increased competition is expected to be driven by new Ofgem rules promoting fairer competition, as well as by better informed consumers in search of cheaper energy tariffs.”
- Claudia Preedy, Industrial Analyst
